The KANESWIPE Magnetic stripe reader reads up to three tracks of
information with a single stripe in either
direction. Its standard-length slot makes this Magnetic stripe reader
easy to use. These units are NOT programable.

The KANESWIPE Magnetic stripe Reader delivers
exeptional functionality and value in the
smallest possible package. This Magnetic stripe reader can be used
as a free-standing unit, or permanently
mounted using the threaded inserts in the
bottom of the reader. (The cable can exit
through the bottom as well.) TTL Magnetic stripe reader, RS-232 Magnetic stripe reader,
PS2 Keyboard wedge Magnetic stripe reader, and USB Magnetic stripe readers are now available
Fits in tight places.
The KANESWIPE Magnetic stripe reader is
designed for POS and desktop
applications where space is at a
premium. The entire unit is just 90mm
long (about the length of a credit card),
giving it the smallest footprint of any Magnetic stripe reader
with comparable features. Actual size; 90 mm ( D ) X 27 mm ( W ) X 28 mm ( H )
Each Magnetic stripe reader comes with a full 6 month/500,000 swipe warranty against defects in material or workmanship.
These readers will "paste" the read data into whatever application is open. The insertion point would be where ever the cursor is "blinking".
Here is an example of the output when a card is read;

Note that the first character meets the ISO 7811 and American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators or AAMVA
track identification requirements. ("%" for track 1, ";" for track 2 and "+" for track 3) The end sentinal is the "?" question mark and each track ends with an "Enter" function. The carrot symbol "^" separates data fields. The data on track 3 of the California Drivers license has been altered to not represent any person specifically. The rest of the MSR's sold here can be programmed to manipulate the data read. This Kaneswipe magnetic strip reader can not be programmed like the other magnetic stripe readers on this page.
