Series 1200 barcode wands/ bar code pens from KANECAL are high-performance
bar code scanners for use in applications
requiring economical solutions. These barcode wands -bar code pens are housed in
rugged stainless steel barrel cases designed to
provide a comfortable feel and to facilitate the handscanning
motion.
Damage to bar code symbols from repeated scans is
minimized by a smooth, extremely hard sapphire tip
that is highly resistant to wear. This is important, as
the typical bar codes symbol contains carbon as the
black coloring agent, which is very abrasive.
Series 1200
barcode wands/ bar code pens use patented circuitry to enhance reading
performance, enabling these barcode wands/ bar code pens to aggressively read
narrow width bars and still reject the small bits of trash
that accumulate on the symbol surface with time and
use.
• Sapphire Tip
The smooth sapphire tip reduces the friction
between the barcode wands/ bar code pens and the media, resulting in less
damage to the surface of the bar code after
repeated scans. It retains its optical qualities after
repeated scannings.
• Stainless Steel Case
The barcode wands/ bar code pens case is constructed of polished stainless
steel, suitable for heavy duty industrial usage. The barcode wands/ bar code pens
cable is attached with a molded strain relief designed
to both protect the cable and minimize
interference with the scanning motion.
• Replaceable Tip
While the sapphire tip is extremely hard and is
essentially abuse-resistant, it can be damaged if it
is dropped onto a hard surface, such as a concrete
floor. The tip is easily removed and replaced
in the field if it should become damaged. This
eliminates the need to replace the entire unit.
