Can this barcode scanner be any good? How can a barcode scanner sell for so little? Want to know what people who bought our barcode scanners have to say? Just a few of the numerous Emails and correspondences that we receive with comments from satisfied customers. They did not let the low cost of our KANESCAN bar code scanners fool them. They tried our product and, in some cases, could not wait to get more!

We purchased a handheld barcode scanned to implement an equipment inventory system
in our recording program. The Kanecal unit, which was considerably less expensive
than any of the others I found on the web, worked flawlessly right out of the box
on our Macintosh computers running OS-X 10.3. We didn't even have to enable any
specific fonts - it read the code 3 of 9 immediately, as well as the font used for
our campus student ID system.
Our experience with this unit has led us to purchase 2 more, to implement barcodes
in our product production processing using FileMaker Pro 6.

I have been using the Kanescan Scanners provided by Kanecal for over a year
now and I am completely satisfied. I was looking for an inexpensive option
to add a scanner to every one of my computers in my store. Upon the
recommendation of my sales office, I ordered two scanners from Kanecal in
the fall of 2002. The price was much lower than the scanners available
elsewhere. I have had four different types (brands) of scanners over the
years and have seen several of my scanners broken. One dropped scanner
could be a $400.00 loss to the business. The Kanescan's have been dropped a
bunch of times and are still going strong. I just placed an order for one
more $79.00 Kanescan because I have a temporary computer for this holiday
season. Once again I choose Kanecal, this time for reliability as well as
value.
As an aside, the Kanescan is near its limit with the width of the UPS
tracking labels, however we have no difficulties whatsoever with any of our
scanning needs. Good job Kanecal!

You are welcome to use my high regard for your product any way you wish. I
really can't believe this thing works as well as it does for the money. One
of the groups I work with has a competitors product, but it doesn't work
nearly as well and it cost 4 times as much! In an effort to assist them
(thus making my life easier as I won't have to wait while they fiddle around
with an inferior product) I've supplied them with your web-page. Keep up the
great work!

I just received today two of your barcode scanners that I ordered and I
couldn't be happier.
I was a little concerned because I am using them in a Mac environment,
but your documentation was just as helpful to me as I'm sure it is to
the PC users.
Your little scanner is great the way it is programmed by scanning codes
into it. I was thinking that I would have to do a lot of configuration
programming of my database, but literally 1/2 hour after opening the
box, I had it all set up from scratch. (Note from KANECAL staff; this set up time was for Mac configuration with a special suffix entry-the KANESCAN is literally "Plug & Play" for PC users right out of the box)
So thanks again for a great product!
