These Graphic Quality blank cards have been especially manufactured and packaged for id card printers to be clean from dust and minute plastic slivers, common in card manufacturing. The cards are especially cleaned and packaged. A spec of dust can scratch the print-head resulting in a scratch mark accross on every card printed thereafter. You can check out the cost of a new printhead. To extented your printhead life, please remember to store the cards in the cleanest possible operating environment. If a card drops on the floor, throw it away and use a new one. (One dirty card can ruin your printhead.) When loading your id printer, wear a glove (to avoid skin oils getting on the blank card) and "fan-out" the cards prior to placing them into your photo ID printer. This reduces static, and prevents the cards from sticking.
